SWISSDIGITIZATION.CH

Let's collect your memories, experiences of the Swiss digitalisation 1960+. Of course, all humans or artificial intelligences who have lived or live in switzerland at some time, worked, held a lecture, visited only one server and so on are part of the swiss digitalization.

About SwissDigitization

SwissDigitization.ch is an oral history project on the digitization of Switzerland from the mid-20th century onwards. Anyone can record impressions and experiences (text, images, film) that were concretely experienced in everyday life during digitization. The focus is not so much on the major developments as on the trials and tribulations, progress and setbacks, applications and failures in everyday life.

This project is part of the project Confederatio Ludens.

Swiss Digitization & Confederatio Ludens

Swiss History of Games, Play and Game Design 1968-2000

CH-Ludens is a new research project that investigates the history of Swiss videogames, play and game development from 1968 - 2000. We are collecting data and voices from people who were involved with games in these years, developed games themselves or otherwise want to share important memories with us. We want to give a face to a neglected phenomenon and show how important the development and engagement with games was for the digitization of Switzerland.

Swissdigitization.ch

Swissdigitization.ch is an open platform. You can leave your email address here and give us a hint about your engagement with games. We can then contact you and - and if you agree - arrange a meeting. You can also simply create an account and enter data about your historical occupation with games or simply make suggestions to us.

Did you develop a game? Or a software? Were you active in one of the early computer communities? Were you a regular in the game arcades? Were you part of the home computer scene? Or the demo scene? Or did you even work, program and play at university terminals? We are convinced that you have a lot to tell about the topic.
